We are still looking for a venue for this month's meeting. A number of people have suggested MIT. Apparently MIT will allow the use of their facilities for nonprofit groups. Does anyone have an affiliation with MIT or know who to contact at MIT to set something up with them?
There was also a suggestion to look at Harvard. Several schools as Harvard use Joomla so they might be interested in hosting us. The Div. School apparently has a Joomla site. Anyone have a contact at Harvard that might help us find out who to talk to there?
Bob Sprague put a notice out on the "Arlington List" and I got several suggestions and offers from that (thanks Bob). A couple of offers involced negotiating something in exchange for meeting space and I will have to look into those further to see what they might have in mind.
One of my Arlington contacts has given me contact info about the Arlington Center for the Arts. I will be contacting them this week to see if that could work for us. They have an overhad projector and the big question is wifi access....
It doesn't look like we will be meeting this Thursday, but I'm still trying to see if we can find a place to meet on the 26th.
